Products we love & recommend
Below you will find our recommended products for Corgis. Over the years we have tried a number of different products. These are items that we use here at witch creek corgis with our own Corgis or products that have been recommended to us by past buyers. Preparing for your puppy ahead of time will help the transition go as smoothly as possible. These is a lot to do before getting a puppy and making sure that you have necessary supplies on hand will make the process go smoother. To help you with this process, we have made a list of almost everything that you might need below.
Food & Supplements
Diamond Naturals

Our puppies are fed Diamond Naturals All Life Stages Chicken & Rice Formula. This food is for all life stages so you don't have to switch from a puppy food to an adult food.
The dog food comes in several flavors. We are believers in rotating food flavors in our puppies. This gives them variety and some research shows that rotating protein sources may reduce the risk of allergies and food intolerances that might become a problem in adulthood. We simply suggest rotating flavors (protein sources) through puppy hood.
If you are adamant about changing brands, we recommend that you wait until they have had time to adjust to their new home then gradually make the change.

Another corgi food we would recommend is Purina Pro Plan 30/20 Sport Performance All Life Stages Chicken & Rice Formula.
The Honest Kitchen Bone Broth Pour Overs
Our dogs love this as a food topper or when they decide they are being picky eaters that day. This company is amazing, and I really love all of their products. Of course, you can also make homemade bone broth for them if you have the time!

Merrick Premium Canned Dog Food
I love this brand of canned dog food. We have been using it for years! Our Corgis will always get some for a special treat on birthdays and holidays. I've never had a corgi who didn't absolutely love this canned food!
Nuvet plus supliments
Our puppies are given half of a NuVet Plus vitamin each day while under our care. Research shows that these vitamins may strengthen a puppy’s immune system which will be important during the most stressful time of their lives, when going to their new home. I find that my dogs and puppies actually like the taste of these vitamins too. This company has been around since 1997 and offers a money back guarantee so check them out through the link below, use my code 208064 to place your order.

Purina Pro Plan FortiFlora Probiotics
I also recommend having the probiotic Fortiflora on hand in case your puppy has diarrhea or goes off food. The transition of going to a new home is very stressful on puppies. We recommend all of our new puppy parents to use these for the first 30 days after bringing home their Corgi and even beyond! These are especially great during periods of stress such as moving to a new home or for any tummy troubles. These are by far the best probiotics on the market
Zesty Paws Salmon Oil
Double coated breeds like Corgis shed. Feeding a high-quality food and supplementing with fish oil can help. It makes their coats very shiny and I even notice less shedding! It is also great for their joints and overall health. Start with a very small amount and work your way up to the full dose for their weight to prevent any gastric upset. Make sure this is kept in the refrigerator after opening so it does not go rancid. I start adding fish oil once our pups are around 6 months old.

Bernie's Perfect Poop
Health starts in the gut! This helps revitalize your Corgi's digestive tract to relieve digestive issues including diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, stalled digestion, bloating and food intolerance; Reduces gas, stool odor, bad breath and the biggie with puppies - it firms up poop. After lots of trial and error with trying multiple products, we now use this for all of our Corgis along with our puppies when they first start eating. This works better than canned pumpkin. Try it for yourself!
Treats & Chews
Natural Balance Dog Treats
These are one of our Corgis favorite treats. The venison flavor is their absolute favorite.

Merrick Lil Plates Small Breed All Natural Dog Treats
These make excellent training treats. I like to use small, soft treats for training. It's easier to keep them focused on me instead of chewing.
Full Moon Natural Organics Organic Jerky
I love feeding organic as much as I can. These treats are no exception - they are organic and grass fed! Plus, our Corgis love them. That's a total win in my book!

Zuke's Mini Naturals Training
Our dogs really enjoy these treats. They are great for training!
100% Pure Beef Liver Bites
Our dogs really enjoy these treats. They are great for training!

Bully Sticks
Corgis are chewers and puppies need to have “chewy” items to help with teething. Make sure to supervise your pup while chewing. we recommend a bully stick holder!
Bully Stick Holder
Tightly secures bully sticks, preventing dogs from choking on the tail-end of the treat.

Pig Ears
Our dogs really enjoy these treats. They are great for training!
Nylabones
A classic long lasting chew item for puppies to soothe gums. This is a long lasting chew for dogs who like them.

Cow Ears
A natural tasty chew item for puppies and dogs. These work well with older puppies or dogs who are more aggressive chewers.
YAK Cheese

Teething Rings
Great for teething pups!
Crate Training:
We HIGHLY recommend crate training your Corgi puppy. It helps potty training to go faster as it reinforces all the groundwork that we have laid here and, gives them their own private space to sleep or have quiet time. It is also for their own safety while you are gone away at work, or even a trip to the store to be placed in a crate. Puppies will chew up shoes, carpet, rugs, furniture, wood trim, electrical cords and anything else that is left on the ground. Puppies are a lot like toddlers due to the fact that they explore the world around them with their mouths.
Wire Crate
This is a popular option if you feel a wire crate is a better fit for you. They are also more portable than your standard crate. I recommend covering these with a blanket at night to help your new puppy sleep. Using background noise like music or the TV also helps during those first few weeks. We recommend the 36" crate for any of our corgis.

Plastic Kennel
Some Corgis prefer plastic crates, my guess is because they are more den like. IMy adult dogs love to sleep in their crates and choose to do so freely.
Crate Bed
Water-Resistant Two-Tone Kennel & Crate Pad w/ Removable Washable Cover, for after your puppy is crate trained!

Donut Bed
Calming donut bed
Outdoor Pen
Sturdy penning that completely breaks down and can be set up in multiple shapes. These are also great for camping trips. If you plan on using a pen after puppyhood these framed panel pens are great..

Gate
These gates are essential for a young puppy's safety and for choosing which rooms to either keep your puppy in, or out of! I have purchased and used so many of these over the years. If you prefer not to use a crate, these are another option to keep your puppy on a laminate or other easily cleaned hard surface flooring during potty training.
Potty Training:
Artificial Grass Bathroom Mat for Puppies
This works wonderfully with the pen listed above for a potty area to help continue potty training while you are away.

Potty Pads
These are great to use underneath the grass potty area. I don't recommend using puppy pads on their own for multiple reasons. I believe it leads to more accidents in the house and puppies love to rip and shred them. Taking them out to the grass outside as soon as they wake up, and usually every few hours is always going to be your best bet.
Litter Tray
A sturdy litter box to hold pellets.
Paper Pellets
Paper pellets made just for dogs
Alfalfa Pellets

We usually use pine pellets but we use this as well.

Stain and odor remover
The key to cleaning up an accident is using an enzymatic cleaner to completely remove all smells.
Training Bells
Train your dog to ring these bells when they need to go out.

Collars, Leashes, ID Tags & Harnesses

Personalized Collars
We like personalized collars because tags can get caught on objects and be pulled off of collars.
Rope Leash
Heavy Duty Rope Dog Leash

Harness
I use this brand of harness with all of our dogs. i feel they work excellent for the corgis and stay on well! They have a handle for easy lifting.
Poop Bag Holder

Disposable Poop Bags
These are leak proof, smell amazing, and make life a little bit easier when out and about.

Lead
Dog/Puppy Obedience Recall Training Agility Lead
Collar Tags
Flat tags attach directly to the collar so they are harder to lose and are quiet.

Food & Water Bowls

No Skid Stainless Steel Bowls
The grip on the bottom of these bowls is wonderful. They really do prevent the bowls from sliding around or tipping over. Which is great for very hungry puppies!
Ceramic Slow Feeder Bowl
These are a must have for a Corgi. I love the fact these are ceramic and not plastic. They are a nice quality, come in many different colors, and are very easy to wash.

Dog Lick Mat
Smear with peanut butter, cream cheese, yogurt or bananas to distract your dog during baths or keep them busy.
Toys:
Bark Box
We are loyal bark box users and our corgis get their bark box every month.

Huggie Pupp[y
HuggiePup Cuddly Puppy Behavioral Aid Toy, Great for Crate Training- Pulsing Heartbeat & Heating Pack.
Classic Kong
Stuff the Kong with treats, kibble or tasty treats like peanut butter. It can keep your pup occupied. The medium size works well for Corgis.

Benebone Wishbone Chew
This is the best toy ever according to our Corgis. I buy these frequently and our dogs think it's Christmas every time they get a new one! We always recommend dog toys that are made in the USA such as Benebone.
Ball Launcher
Fun for dogs that love to fetch. Train your dog to drop the ball in the top and it launches it over and over. It also has an adjustable distance setting.

Food Puzzle
Food puzzles make your dog think in order to get hidden treats. Choose from 4 levels of difficulty.
Giggle Ball
This ball giggles and makes enticing giggle sounds as it wobbles back and forth.

Treat Dispensing Dog Toy Puzzle
Interactive Puzzle Toy For Puppies
These are great for your puppy! They will provide entertainment and an outlet for chewing. You put their kibble inside of the toys and they will enjoy figuring out how to get their reward.

Snuffle Mat
Snuffle mats are wonderful because they can be used in place of a slow feeder bowl and offer a lot of mental stimulation and enrichment for your Corgi.
Interactive Squeaky Hide and Seek Plush Dog Toy
I adore this toy mostly due to how cute it is, but also because it cashes in on my coffee and donut obsession. Just don't let them have this toy unsupervised, as we don't want them to eat all the stuffing inside!

ChuckIt! Ultra Ball
We have a few Corgis that would play fetch for days if we let them. These are a surefire way that your Corgi will get exercise! These are extremely durable for the price and can withstand many sessions of fetch
Ropetugs
Our corgi crew loves these!

Hide A Squirrel
With this interactive toy, dogs have to figure out how to get the squirrels out of the trunk.
Flatties
These are extreme flatties that last a long time. They are a favorite here. This flattie contains crinkle material which our pups love.

Bob-A-Lot
Fill with kibble and it will keep your pup entertained. This is the best treat dispensing toy that I have found.
Grooming:
Zoom Groom
This brush helps remove loose hair while bathing.

Earth Bath Grooming Kit
We love earth bath products, they are plant-based, curelty free, non-gmo, & made in the USA. We have partnered up with earth bath to be able to offer 15% off to our puppy families! Use code : WITCHCREEKCORGIS15 at check out!
SleekEZ Original Deshedding Grooming Tool
This brush is a MUST HAVE item for Corgis! I swear by this brush and recommend this product to all my friends who have a dog with a dual layer coat.

Double Sided Shedding & Dematting Undercoat Rake
This is a must have item for a Corgi! I am beginning to like this brush more than the Sleek Ez. You will not believe the fur you will remove with your weekly (or daily) brushing. Especially if you get a long haired or fluffy Corgi from us. This rake is perfect for de-matting that long gorgeous fur. This is the #1 rated rake on Amazon for dogs and cats!
Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush
This brush is fantastic for long haired fluffy Corgis. Their fur will look silky and floofy, just like they've been to the groomer! Plus, it is self-cleaning. If your Corgi is more sensitive to grooming, this is the brush I recommend as it is gentler than the rake above.

Rechargeable Dog Nail Dremel
These tools are a game changer if your Corgi does not like their nails trimmed. Or if you are concerned with cutting their nails too short. Buying this will save you money in the long run versus having the vet or groomer trim their nails and if that ever becomes a necessity, give this a try!
Zen Dog Nail Clippers
I love using dog nail clippers like these. I am not a fan of the guillotine ones. These clippers in particular are great because they are adjustable, so you won't cut their nails too short. I recommend the junior size for puppies.

TropiClean's Oral Care Kit
Our Corgi's oral health is important to us. The majority of dog's show oral disease by age 3! Cleaning their teeth on a regular basis is very important. Their yearly dental cleaning is also a must!

I believe so strongly in taking good care of your Corgi's oral health. This is a super easy thing to use daily to help their breath stay fresh and ready for all those kisses!

Protects and Heals Dry Cracked Paws
Heated Dog Blow Dryer
I use this blow dryer with all of my corgis. We even use this on our puppies. this is a heated blow dryer

Flea, Tick & Worming:

Simparica Trio

We believe this product is one of the best flea/tick/heartworm combination preventatives out there. You can purchase this directly at your veterinarian or have your vet send your prescription to Chewy as they are usually a bit more cost effective.
Seresto Flea Collar
We love Bayer's Seresto flea and tick collars. We have tried many different flea products over the years and I recommend this as the best flea collar out there.

Fenbendazole
We use this on our adults and on our puppies at 6 and 8 weeks old. It not only gets the worms, but it also helps kill Giardia. We use the brand name product, which is called Panacur, which is purchased through your vet or on amazon & chewy.
Pyrantel Pamoate
We use this on our nursing dam's and puppies starting at 2 weeks of age.
